Mathys Paracem Deco Ultra Clean Xtra Matt is a highly washable alkaline emulsion, water-based interior wall paint with a lasting extra matt aspect. This decorative paint is available in white and in almost all possible colours, ranging from light to dark shades.

Recommended Use:

• Perfect for interior walls that need regular cleaning (e.g. children’s rooms, kitchens, etc.). Suitable for most substrates (plaster, brick, concrete, etc.) in public and private buildings. No 'white marking' occurs with darker colours.

• Practical coverage depends on many factors such as porosity and roughness of the substrate and material losses during application.

Drying Times

Surface Preparation

• The surface must be dry and free of dust and grease.
• You can paint Paracem Deco Ultra Clean Xtra Matt directly over clean, old layers of paint that are still in good condition and onto surfaces that are not too porous.
• You must treat porous surfaces with Paracem Deco Primer first. Highly porous surfaces, smooth plaster, and water-resistant plasterboard must be impregnated with Pegafix first.
• Nicotine stains must be isolated first with Pegaprim Isofix or Pegamat RL.
• Old damp spots must be isolated with Pegamat RL or Pegaprim Isofix.
• Unpainted woodwork must be treated appropriately first and a priming coat must be applied (e.g. Fassiprim Aqua or Pegaprim Xpress).
• Metal objects without rust spots are to be pre-treated with Pegalink , Pegaprim Xpress. On glass fibre, apply preferably first a coat of Paracem Deco Primer before finishing with 2 coats of Paracem Deco Ultra Clean Xtra Matt

Application Methods

• Do not apply at temperatures below +8°C.
• Not recommended for use in damp rooms (eg bathrooms).
• Cleaning instructions: Remove the contamination as soon as possible. Most contamination can easily be removed with a soft, damp cloth. Use lukewarm water and a mild colourless detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaning products.
• Do no use excessive pressure when cleaning as this may result in removing paint which will leave marks.
• For more serious contaminations first wipe the substrate with a soft damp cloth, then use Mathys Multi-cleaner (diluted 1:100). Allow to dry.
• The best cleaning results are achieved after the Paracem Deco Ultra Clean Xtra Matt has dried for minimum 30 days.
• Although extensive evaluations have been undertaken to ensure the cleanability of the Paracem Deco Ultra Clean Xtra Matt it might be possible that some contamination is difficult to remove and leaves traces. Touching the paint may leave marks this is due to the matt nature of the product (the marks will be more visible on dark colours).
