The Basics

What you really need to know...

  • Each 5lt tin will cover 18.6m² (this figure allows for the two coats required)
  • Protects internal timber to British Standard Class 0 & Class 1
  • Leaves a matt white finish which can be left as a finish or overcoated with most acrylic paints to give a decorative colour or to increase durability.
  • Can be applied to bare timber or over existing paints that are well adhered.
  • Can be applied with a brush, roller or spray gun.
  • Full certification is issued with every purchase.
  • Fully tested and approved to British Standards.
  • Works by insulating the timber from heat, retarding ignition and stopping the flame from spreading accross the surface.
  • Reduces the ignitability of soft and hard wood and other wood derivatives, i.e. plywood, chipboard, fibre insulation board, hard board, also on veneering ≥ 12mm thickness.

Zeroflame Fire Retardant Paint insulates against heat, checks fire, prevents propagation of fire and diminishes flue-gas density and flue-gas temperature. For interior use only. Not suitable for surfaces exposed to mechanical stress.
