    Rust-Oleum 9100 High Performance Epoxy

Rust-Oleum 9100 High Performance Epoxy is a two-pack, glossy epoxy for metal, walls and floors. It is the most efficient epoxy system providing a very hard coating with high layer thickness giving lasting results with even a single coat application. Also ideal as a glossy floor paint for garages, warehouses, indoor car parks etc. Optimal protection can be achieved in only one or two layers.

    With Rust-Oleum 9100 Epoxy you can save time on;

Application - Apply in one thick layer if required

Mixing - Easy 1:1 mixing ratio, no waste and no thinning required.

Surface Preparation - Can be applied directly to sound rusted surfaces without the need for blasting.

Maintenance - Longer lasting results means reduced downtime for repairs and re-coating.

    Features & Benefits

    • Single coat application directly over rusted surfaces
    • Excellent results with minimal surface preparation
    • Full colour intensity in one coat
    • 1:1 mixing ratio
    • Very resistant to abrasion
    • Excellent resistance against immersion; can be used in swimming pools
    • Resistant to oils, solvents and many chemicals
    • Suitable for frequent cleaning with chemicals
    • Tintable to virtually any colour
    • Winter grade & high solids versions available

    Choice of 3 versions:

Rust-Oleum 9100 High Performance Epoxy is designed for application on manually prepared rusted steel surfaces and can also be used on clean, blasted steel, primed steel, concrete and previously coated surfaces. Rust-Oleum 9100 Topcoats are primarily intended for brush and airless spray application and can also be applied by roller.

Rust-Oleum 9100 High Performance Epoxy offers excellent protection against strong chemicals, acids, alkalis and solvents; frequent product spillage and chemical cleaning; high humidity and moisture conditions. If good U.V. resistance is required Rust-Oleum Polyurethane Topcoats 9200, 9600 or 9900 should be applied (except for the clear coatings).

Rust-Oleum 9100 High Performance Epoxy can be applied on cleaned, sound mineral substrates, sound, well prepared previous coatings; porous substrates should be primed with Rust-Oleum Impregnation Primer 5401; very dense substrates, like ceramic tiles, should be primed with Rust-Oleum Super Adhesive 3333.

    Required primers:

Please note: The outdoor durability and chemical resistance of the system can be further improved by the application of an additional topcoat Rust-Oleum 9200 Rust-O-Thane or Rust-Oleum 9600 Rust-O-Thane Polyurethane.

questions Michael Schmidt on 2022-01-12 09:21:12
    Question:

Hi there, in earlier times I've used the standard hardener. Can you tell me what's the main difference with the HS hardener? I want to use it for coating our steel boat. So a bit of flex would be great. Thanks for helping!

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

The difference between the Rust-Oleum 9100 High Performance Epoxy which is now discontinued and the Rust-Oleum 9100 High Solids Epoxy is the solids content.

We would not recommend mixing the two systems components.

    Question:

Hi, Can this be applied on concrete floor that had previously been painted? The previous paint job was badly done and has areas of discolouration.

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Yes, as long as the existing coating is sound, well adhered and compatible (carry out a test area) - Sand previous coatings, which are in good condition to remove gloss and to roughen the surface slightly before application.

questions Emma Roberts on 2018-07-01 07:02:03
    Question:

Can it be used to cover a concrete floor for dogs to walk on that will be mopped with disinfectant 3-4 times a day?

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Yes this should be suitable as long as adequate preparation is carried out. Our Technical Department can issue a list of chemicals and this products performance with them if required to ensure your disinfectant would be suitable. Please note this product is not UV stable so if exposed to sunlight, topcoat with Rust-Oleum 9200 Rust-O-Thane.

Question: Hi, could you tell me whether this paint could be used on wooden floors please? Thank you Marlene
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: No it can't. If you'd like to contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 or [email protected] so we can get some more information about your project, we will be able to offer a suitable alternative.
    questions Micaela on 2016-04-13 19:48:59
Question: Can this product be used to paint over marble ??
    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

A primer must be applied to the marble before application of Rust-Oleum 9100 High Performance Epoxy is carried out. If the marble is very smooth, use Rust-Oleum 3333 Super Adhesion Primer. If it is rough, textured or has a profile, use Rust-Oleum 3366 Epoxy Powerfloat Floor Primer Rapid.
