    Question:

*Galvanised panels with rust!! Needing help on how to remove rust? & should I treat panels with anything afterwards? Also is there anything to prevent rust coming back? T.I.A Kind Regards, T.

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Assuming the surface is thoroughly cleaned and degreased firstly, with all traces of rust removed by wire brushing/scraping to de-rust the galvanised steel panel, you could use Rust-Oleum Hard Hat 2117/1017 Galva Zinc Alu however this is intended for use on small areas or as a touch-up product.

questions mrs Ann Pearson on 2016-03-26 01:16:59
Question: Help does this paint withstand a freezing of up to -40% only I need to paint the inside of a chest freezer which is steel but can't have any smell as store ice cream in the freezer. Thank you Ann
    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

We would recommend you overcoat Rust-Oleum Hard Hat 2117/1017 Galva Zinc Alu with Rust-Oleum Hard Hat 2500 Transparent Protection. The application would need to take place when the freezer was out of use and at ambient temperatures. Once the coatings dry they should be fine to operate at low temperatures in a freezer.
