Primers
Together with primers like Alkydprimer or Pilot QD Primer, Pilot II will form a low to medium corrosion protection system, respectively, as defined by ISO 12944.

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Assuming the oars are not left in the water, they are clean, dry, sound, prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet and primed first with Jotun Alkydprimer this could be used. | |

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Only if existing alkyd (gloss) paints have been used previously and you are merely overcoating. New or old bare fibreglass/GRP surfaces need an epoxy primer as build up coats (normally 200um DFT) such as Jotun Penguard HB or Jotun Penguard Primer which are then often painted with another 2 pack such as polyurethane (Jotun Hardtop XP). | |
