Thermilate InsOpaint Interior Emulsion offers the perfect balance of excellent quality and maximum performance it is perfect for all interior walls and ceilings and provides a U-value improvement of 0.25 W/m2K. It has a noticeably superior texture, finish and very low VOC levels, together with an incredible combination of thermal insulation and breathability. This dramatically reduces condensation problems, if not eliminating them entirely. Applying a minimum of two coats of Thermilate InsOpaint Interior Emulsion on walls and ceilings provides maximum thermal insulation which has been independently tested across the world to UK, EU and ASTM standards.
Thermilate InsOpaint Interior Emulsion covers up to 3.5m² per litre with the recommended minimum of two coats. It is easily applied by brush, roller or spray. Thermilate InsOpaint Interior Emulsion has a distinct energy-saving advantage and has been scientifically proven to work. A minimum of two coats are recommended for interior walls to achieve maximum thermal insulation and three coats for exterior walls. You can wallpaper over Thermilate InsOpaint Interior Emulsion and it will continue to provide thermal insulation to reduce the heat lost through the walls and ceilings by reflecting the heat back in to the room/building. A 5L will cover up to 17m² with 2 coats.
Thermilate InsOpaint Interior Emulsion thermal insulation qualities are not diminished when painted on top of lining paper, wallpaper already painted with another emulsion and non-blown vinyl wallpapers. It should not however be applied to “blown vinyl” wallpapers which absorb the paint and leave the insulating micro technology as a residue which will later become dispersed. New plaster should be sealed with an adequate primer/sealer prior to application of Thermilate InsOpaint Interior Emulsion.

Is there a paint I can use to insulate my house from the outside ?
Hall from Leicesrer (Leics) - 10/06/16
I have tried anti condensation paints in the past but the black mould just comes back and my walls are running with water and cold to touch, how will your product alleviate this problem and does it come with a guarantee? Also can it be applied by paint pads?
damon thomas from pontypool (uk) - 05/01/16
In extreme cases we recommend a combination of products to combat mould repeatedly coming back on walls. Firstly, all areas to be painted should be cleaned thoroughly with Zinsser Universal Degreaser & Cleaner followed by Zinsser Mould Killer & Remover. Then apply 3 coats of Thermilate InsOpaint Anti-Condensation Paint as per the manufacturers instructions. Once dry, finish with two coats of Zinsser Perma-White Interior in your desired colour and finish. This system should give you a minimum of 5 years guaranteed protection against mould forming on your walls. This works by the cleaners killing any existing mould, the InsOpaint helps increase the surface temperature of the walls making condensation less likely to form and finally the Perma-White leaves a finish containing a biocide that protects the dried coating against mould and mildew from forming. Finally, all products recommended can be applied by brush, roller, or paint pad.
Can Thermilate InsOpaint Interior Emulsion be applied to the inside of a new shed - i.e. directly on to wood?
Aileen Cameron from Ayr, Ayrshire (Scotland) - 07/11/15
Thermilate InsOpaint Interior Emulsion can definitely be used on the inside of a shed but we would recommend applying 3 coats for maximum effect and would require the wood to primed with a suitable primer prior to application of Thermilate InsOpaint Interior Emulsion. For softwood we recommend priming with Zinsser Cover Stain and for hardwood Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3. With both products, 1 coat should be sufficient to prime and seal the wood ready for painting.
Can Thermilate InsOpaint Interior Emulsion be over coated with standard emulsions?
