Maston 2K Two creates a waterproof, airtight and chemical and petrol resistant paint layer. In traditional 2-component solutions, the paint and hardener are mixed just before painting, so the life of the paint varies from minutes to days. Maston 2K Two does not need to be activated by puncturing the hardener can. Thanks to the patented solution, Maston 2K Two paint is always ready for use, as many times as necessary. The paint is suitable for almost any surface such as metal, aluminum, galvanized metal, copper, chrome, wood, stone, ceramics, glass, and most plastics.

Features & Benefits

• Makes 2-component spray painting as easy and user friendly as using any ordinary 1-component spray paint
• When sprayed, the chemical hardening process takes place immediately in atmospheric pressure. This ensures that Maston 2K products have the same characteristics in terms of adhesion, corrosion, scratch and chemical resistance as traditional 2-component systems, where the base and hardener have to be pre-mixed
• Bonds on almost any surface metal, aluminium, galvanized metal, copper, chrome, wood, stone, ceramics, glass and most plastics, as well as on previously painted 1-component or 2-component paint surfaces such as acrylics, PU, epoxy and powder coating
• Does not need to be activated by puncturing the hardener can. It is always ready for use, as many times as needed
• Allows professionals and consumers to use a high quality 2-component product without the use of complicated air driven equipment
• No waste production and no cleaning required

Application Notes

• Before painting: shake the can upside-down for approx. 3 minutes
• Clean surface with a proper solvent
• Spray at a distance of approx. 25 cm
• Optimal conditions of use:
  • Temp 18 - 25°C
  • Humidity: 25 - 75% relative humidity
• Use in well ventilated areas
• Spraying several thin layers is better than one very thick layer. Recommended thickness 1.5 x layer @ 30 microns dft, max 3 layers. Leave 2 - 3 minutes between layers.
• Always spray in cross layers
• Coverage app. 2.5m² (covering layer painted metal surface)
• Touch dry in approx. 3 - 5 hours minutes @ 20°C, water resistant after 12 hours and chemical resisitant in 8 - 10 days
• Clean the valve and actuator by spraying the can upside down for approx. 5 seconds

Limitations

• It is possible to paint already painted surfaces with Maston 2K Two. Test the compatibility always before overcoating with 2K products
• On dry surfaces (where previous paintwork has completely hardened), some alkyd paints might react with Maston 2K Two
• Extremely flammable aerosol: Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not breathe spray. Protect from sunlight. Pressurised container: May burst if heated. Do no expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C
