Directions for UseThe pack contains a granular resinous material and one or more bottles (depending on the packaging size) of curing agent. Mix the granular resinous material with the curing agent on a board. It is important that mixing should be carried out very thoroughly. The ratio of resin to curing agent is critical and the mixing of part packs is not recommended.
ApplicationTrowel vigorously over the prepared surface. Final levelling should be carried out with a steel float. To prevent ‘drag’ it is advisable to wipe the blade of the tool frequently with a rag moistened (but not saturated) with white spirit. The working life of the mixed product is 30-60mins depending on temperature. If the product is used past its working life, trowelling will become difficult and adhesion reduced.
Cleanup: Rust-Oleum Thinner 160
- Product can be applied from feather-edge to 50mm depth (full strength is achieved at 5mm).
- Build up layers of Rust-Oleum 5180 Epoxy Repair Mortar if the depth is significantly greater than 50mm or use Rust-Oleum 5190 Epoxy Repair Mortar Deep Fill.
- Applying the product directly in a too high film thickness can reduce the performance of the cured material.
Application ConditionsTemperature of material, air and substrate between 10 and 35°C and relative humidity below 85%. The substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above dew point.

Hi, I'm looking to fix a church door. The hinge is fix into the stone, and it's wobbling. I was going to pull out hinge and clean. Fill full of epoxy and push hinge back in. Will this product be ok for this?
For vertical repairs we would instead recommend Rust-Oleum 5110 Verti-Patch.

Does this react poorly if it comes in contact with aluminium
Rust-Oleum 5180 Epoxy Repair Mortar is intended to repair damages in concrete/cementitious substrates, we are not sure where the aluminium contact would occur and we have no knowledge of any issues or reaction between the two but without knowing further details we could not confirm.

Hi. I have a number of screed patches on my garage floor which are around 2-3mm in depth and perhaps 20cm sq on average. Noting on the webpage that the epoxy repair mortar achieves full strength at 5mm, would the product be suitable for screed repair like this? The footfall in the garage is minimal. Thanks
For these size repairs we would instead recommend the use of Rust-Oleum 5412 Epoxy Filler.

Can the rust-oleum 5180 be used to repair cracked and broken steps including shaping around the curved face edge overhang?
Rust-Oleum 5180 Epoxy Repair Mortar provides a permanent repair to badly cracked and worn concrete and will fill holes of any shape or size, gaps, nosings, cracks etc and may be feather edged. It is primarily used for horizontal surfaces and is often used to repair steps and would be a good solution. For large amounts of vertical or overhead repairs we normally would suggest using Rust-Oleum 5110 Verti-Patch, but where possible we would recommend using Rust-Oleum 5180 Epoxy Repair Mortar on steps.

Question: Can this be applied directly to bitumen which we found once we had taken the loose parts off a door threshold.
No, Rust-Oleum 5180 Epoxy Repair Mortar is not suitable to be applied to bitumen based substrates.

We would recommend using Rust-Oleum 5110 Verti-Patch rather than the Rust-Oleum 5180 Epoxy Repair Mortar for window lintel repairs.
