AdSeal Imprinted Concrete Sealer is a hard wearing, high solids blend of UV stable MMA polymers suspended in aromatic hydrocarbons designed to seal and protect Pattern Imprinted Concrete (also known as ‘Stamped Concrete’), dries quickly to a tough, glossy finish. It protects, preserves, colours, hardens, enhances and can also be used on a wide range of other surfaces such as block paving, plain or exposed aggregate concrete surfaces, flags & slabs, etc. and will also stabilise jointing sand in between block paving.
AdSeal Imprinted Concrete Sealer is a colourless, non-yellowing, UV stable single component, low viscosity product with fast cure enabling rapid installation and early re-use of facility.
Increased impact and abrasion resistance maintains, and arguably increases, performance life of surfaces and can yield significant ‘whole life’ cost savings. Its unique formulation makes it easy to apply and achieve an even, uniform, and seamless finish.
Virtually eliminates grass and weed growth in any joints and reduces routine maintenance. A major feature is the combination of its hard wearing qualities with its ease of recoating/refreshing during future maintenance, unlike urethane based products.
Not suitable for: Engineering bricks, highly polished & glazed surfaces.
Performance (low to medium trafficked areas): With correct maintenance and depending upon surface type, potentially 10 years plus*. Externally colour will remain for 1 – 2 years although protective effect will remain for longer, potentially 4 – 6 years, depending upon surface type.
*A major design feature of this product is that it is easily re-coatable and does not need stripping before future treatment as maintenance coats cross link into original forming a monolithic layer. Recoating worn areas effectively means that the sealer may never need stripping and replacing.
Surfaces should be clean, dry & free from oil, grease, dust, laitance and any other deleterious materials
Do not apply in temperatures below +5°C or above +25°C and should not be subjected to extremes of temperature until completely dry
It is important to undertake a representative test area to ensure that the product is suitable for your requirements prior to commencement of the project and assessed for final appearance, chemical resistance and wet and dry slip resistance. This is particularly important where the surface has previously been sealed
Application should ideally be by an airless sprayer designed for solvent based products such as the AdSeal Compact Sprayer but application by brush or roller is also suitable [see detailed installation instructions]
During application care should be taken to protect adjacent areas & equipment from overspray
The surface should be sectioned off to assist accurate coverage
On average apply at a rate of approximately 4m² per litre for your first coat and 7m² per litre for the second. Exact consumption will depend on age and porosity of the surface
Apply in THIN uniform coats maintaining a wet edge but do not allow to puddle
Under normal conditions it will be touch dry within 1 - 2 hours and may be lightly trafficked after 24 hours
The above is to be read in conjunction with the detailed Installation Instructions Sheet and the current Safety Data Sheet available to download from DATA SHEETS tab above
Maintenance:
Sweep regularly to remove abrasive dirt and grit from surface and rinse down weekly using a mild detergent if required
Spills and marks should be wiped up as soon as possible and not allowed to dry on
Should signs of wear appear a maintenance coat can be applied. Clean and thoroughly dry surface to be treated. Apply single ‘tight' coat which will cross link into earlier coats, so there is no need to strip unless there is resin build up or blemishes are an issue
