ColourPicker Explained

In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. Used for touch-up work during rotor blade manufacture or for maintenance of surfaces coated with Windmastic Topcoat HSX.

Above recoating times are guidelines only. Actual recoating times can be shorter or longer depending on film thickness, ventilation, moisture or other local conditions
Excessive humidity or condensation on the surface during curing can interfere with the cure, can cause discolouration, and may result in a surface haze. Any haze or blush must be removed by water washing before recoating
Light abrasion of the surface may be necessary when the maximum recoating intervals are exceeded

Surface Preparation

General

Surface must be clean and dry
Employ adequate methods to remove dirt, dust, oil, and all other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion of the coating

Pot Life:	1 hour at 20ºC and less at higher temperatures
Spray (General):	This product is for touch-up / repair is only and not supplied for spray application
Brush and Roller:	For small areas and stripe coating only Multiple coats may be required to obtain desired appearance, recommended dry film thickness and adequate hiding
Brush:	Use a medium bristle brush

Industry standards are for substrate temperatures to be 3ºC above the dew point
Condensation due to substrate temperatures below the dew point can cause flash rusting on prepared steel and interfere with proper adhesion to the substrate
Special application techniques may be required above or below normal application conditions

Read and follow all caution statements on this product data sheet and on the SDS for this product and use personal protective equipment as directed
Employ normal workmanlike safety precautions
Hypersensitive persons should wear protective clothing, gloves and use protective cream on face, hands, and all exposed areas

Ventilation

When used in enclosed areas, thorough air circulation must be used during and after application until the coating is cured.
The ventilation system should be capable of preventing the solvent vapor concentration from reaching the lower explosion limit for the solvents used
In addition to ensuring proper ventilation, appropriate respirators must be used by all application personnel

Caution

This product contains flammable solvents
Keep away from sparks and open flames
All electrical equipment and installations should be made and grounded in accordance with regulations
In areas where explosion hazards exist, workmen should be required to use nonferrous tools and wear conductive and nonsparking shoes
