Description

Remmers SP Levell (formerly Undercoat Render) is a low alkali, levelling and pore undercoat render for restoring old buildings and masonry work, especially render bases with salt loads.

Uses

  • Especially for subsequent coating with one of the Remmers SP Top Renders
  • For preparing the substrate and for levelling the entire surface of highly uneven render bases
  • As a filling and levelling mortar on rubble stone masonry work
  • For all mineral wall building materials suitable for the application of render such as masonry brick, sand-lime brick, concrete, aerated concrete, rubble stone and lime-cement and cement render (indoors and outdoors).

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure surfaces are clean, dust-free and capable of supporting a load.
  • Remove render, paint layers and coatings at least 80 cm above the damaged area.
  • Chase out friable joints to a depth of at least 2 cm.
  • Pre-wet the substrate so that it is slightly moist.

Mixing Instructions

  • Pour water into a clean container and add dry mortar.
  • Mix thoroughly for approximately 3 minutes until the proper consistency for working has been achieved.
  • If using a rendering machine, the corresponding water control value must be determined on site.

Conditions For Use

Temperature of the material, air and substrate: from min. +5°C to max. +30°C. Low temperatures increase, while high temperatures decrease the working and setting time.

Working time (+20°C)

Approx. 60 minutes.

Directions

One-layer - Apply product using a suitable tool or machine.

Two-layer - Roughen the first layer with a render comb. Apply the second layer once the first is sufficiently dry. Level off the surface with a long float. Use a render comb to roughen horizontally in preparation for the next layer of render after setting.

Cleaning

Clean tools with water while the material is still fresh.

Storage

If stored in an unopened container and in a dry place, the product will keep for approx. 12 months.
