Can you let me know what area a tin of thermilate pro clear covers on a plain tile concrete roof? How long should it keep the moss away after application?
Due to the viscosity of Thermilate PRO Clear Roof Coating the coverage can vary greatly depending on the surface porosity. If the tiles are largely porous and soak up fluids, you can get around 3m² per litre, but if the tiles are not particularly porous and perhaps even previously sealed, you will easily get 10m² per litre.
The time before moss and lichen returns on a roof can vary depending on the surrounding area, especially in more heavily wooded areas. Providing the roof has been fully cleaned and treated with a fungicidal solution the moss should only return in 3-5 years. Higher moss resistance can be expected when fully repainting the roof.
