We no longer stock this product, but can recommend Tor Elastaseal Z Fibretex as a great alternative.

Tor Elastaseal Fibretex (RC104) is a cold applied single pack, ultra high solids, moisture activated, elastomeric urethane containing inert reinforcement fibres. High elasticity allows membranes to “move” without cracking or splitting. Internal reinforcement often avoids the need to use dry reinforcement scrims, matting etc, on tight lap joints, bolt heads etc.

Tor Elastaseal Fibretex is a waterproofing membrane coating for protection of sound (small) flat and pitched roofs, etc. One or two coat system (either stand alone or with Elastaseal Top Coat RC101) depending on substrate conditions, required degree of protection, etc. Also used as bridging stripe coat on firm lap joints, bolt heads, during refurbishment of profiled metal sheeted roofs. This product is also used as the elastomeric buildcoat in the Tordeck PB System.

Preparation

Inspect all surfaces to assess soundness of existing substrates or coatings. Where necessary prepare test areas. Roof surfaces must be clean, visibly dry and free from all loose debris and roof contaminants. Repairs to cracks, holes, blisters etc, should be made to a good standard using suitable materials before any coatings are applied. All areas of biological growth should be treated with Torkill W Fungicidal Solution (DM405), and neutralised residues removed.

Priming, where necessary, should be carried out using suitable compatible materials. Contact Technical Department for further advice.

Application

Brush or short/medium pile roller. Work material well into substrate and build up to required thickness. Apply generous quantities to joints etc, stripe coating if necessary prior to application of main coat.

Limitations

• Do not apply if rain is imminent.
• Overcoating must be carried out within the timescale stated otherwise further preparation will be necessary.
• Take out a working quantity from the tin and re-seal immediately to minimise wastage.
• This product should not be used as a stand-alone waterproofing system on degraded, large or complex roofs.
