Cromar PRO GRP Resin is a cold applied polyester resin designed specifically for Roofing Applications. Easy to form around complex situations, Pro GRP Resin is durable and able to resist foot traffic, an essential component in roofing systems.
Very low styrene emission
Low viscosity allowing rapid and efficient fibre wet-out
Cromar PRO GRP Resin is a pre-promoted, thixotropic, medium reactive polyester resin designed specifically for Roofing Applications and formulated to give extremely low styrene emission. Cold applied and easy to form around complex situations, Pro GRP Resin is durable and able to resist foot traffic, an essential component in roofing systems.
What is PRO GRP?
GRP stands for Glass Reinforced Polyester and is also known as Glass-Fibre.
This system is cold applied on site, giving it a seamless and flexible weatherproof finish that resists water, heat and frost.
The resulting surface gives a strong architectural finish that looks very impressive. If maintained properly it will last as long as the building stands.
Cromar have developed this technology further to produce the perfect all weather protection for any flat roof. PRO GRP can be applied in small domestic situations right through to large industrial environments.
Benefits of a GRP System
COLD APPLIED - no heat required
EASY TO FORM - around complex situations
VERY DURABLE - resists heavy foot traffic
NON-SLIP WALKWAYS - can be incorporated
CLASS LEADING ROOFING SOLUTION - that far exceeds traditional methods
VIRTUALLY MAINTENANCE FREE - for very long periods of time
The values above are recommended coverage rates for estimating purposes we would recommend coverage rates or 1.5kg/m2 for resin, and 0.5 kg/m2 for top coat.
Temperature / Catalyst Required
Note: These temperature breaks are approximate. Always test catalyst additions with your first mix and adjust up or down as required.
Summer / Winter
Cromar DO NOT recommend laminating in temperatures below 5℃ and above 35℃ ambient temperature, please consult our technical department on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or send a message to [email protected].

Storage
Resins are stable for six months from date of production when stored in the original containers away from sunlight at no more than 21°C. After extended storage, some drift may occur in gel time.
During the hot summer months, no more than two months stability at 30°C should be anticipated.
