Is this product suitable for previously painted or unpainted asbestos?
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This primer is for improving the adhesion on bare porous substrates such as asbestos and not generally used on previously painted surfaces.

Question:
I have a fairly large corrugated roof on my shed, all rusty. Would the primer 44 HS be suitable for that?
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
No, this primer is for use on porous and mineral substrates, assuming the metal roof is pitched, it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde Pegarust.

Question:
I’m trying to fix a small leak in a slate roof, already had a roofer try and find it with out luck. I’ve already purchased Rust-oleum Mathys fillcoat fibres from you and I’m also going to purchase the primer 44 HS my question is after priming how soon can I apply the fillcoat fibres? The information on the web site says touch dry 1 hour reapply 24 hours primer. Not clear as when I can put the fillcoat on? Many thanks Martin
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Primer 44HS is dry to over paint in 24 hours when applied at 20°C and a humidity of 50%.

Question: can i use mathys primer 44 on exterior lime rendering
?? thanks
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
As long as the lime render is in good condition, clean, prepared, etc, then Rust-Oleum Mathys Primer 44 HS would be our normal priming solution prior to applying suitable topcoat(s).
