Use Eagle All Weather Roof Coat Aluminium on top of All Weather Roofing Compound for a tough and flexible solar reflective coating on roofs, sheeting, slates and tiles.
Eagle All Weather Roof Coat Aluminium dries to form a tough, flexible solar reflective coating on top of All Weather Roofing Compound, used as the final coat in multi-coat systems. The solvent-based bituminous compound is heavily bodied with fillers, fibres, and a high grade of Aluminium Paste.
The Aluminium All Weather Roofing Coating System may be used on the following surfaces:
Eagle All Weather Roof Coat Aluminium may be used in conjunction with a rot-proof hessian reinforcement scrim or a bitumen coated glass fibre scrim.
Normally be applied in 2 coats at 1 – 1.5m² per litre per coat, depending upon the porosity of the surface.
Asbestos Roofs
It is particularly important to ensure that the Asbestos-Cement is not saturated with water before application. Wait until the Asbestos-Cement sheeting is dry and then apply one coat of Bituminous Primer. Allow the primer to dry and then apply one coat of All Weather Roof Compound, followed by a second Aluminium All weather Roof Coat each at 1m² per litre, allowing the first coat to dry before application of the second.
Metal Roofs
Where these slow signs of corrosion such as loose rust this should be removed by abrading with a metal- bristled brush. A rust inhibitive treatment should be applied to ensure that the rust will not return. For normal circumstances, abrading with a brush is usually sufficient preparation. All Weather Roof Compound should be in 2 coats the second coat being Aluminium All Weather Roof Coat at 1.5m² per litre per coat.
Slates or Tiles
The roof should be examined for damaged or loose slates or tiles. Any loose slates or sheets should be re-fixed firmly in place. All Weather Roofing Compound and Glass Fibre Scrim should then be applied.
In order to bridge gaps, cracks and fissures and in all cases where roof surfaces are in advanced states of decay, it is recommended that All Weather Roofing Compound be used in conjunction with a reinforcing membrane, either rot-proof hessian or Glass Fibre Scrim.

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Assuming the roof is bare, clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet, for a 900m2 area you would require approximately 24 to 36 25L drums of Eagle All Weather Roof Coat. Followed by approximately 24 to 36 25L drums of Eagle All Weather Roof Coat Aluminium. This is based on the products coverage rate of 1-1.5m2/litre. | |
