![]() | Question: Is this paint suitable for conservatory s and does it wash off in the winter ? |
Answer: Assuming you are wanting to apply a permanent (i.e. won't wash off) solar reflective paint to a polycarbonate type roof, we would recommend Bedec Super-Flex Solar Reflective White. If however you would like something to apply each year during the summer months that will slowly wash away during the winter months, then we would instead recommend Coo-Var White Glass Shading.
![]() | Question: Can this be used on a conservatory glass roof to help reduce heat |
Answer: Coo-Var Solar Reflective Paint White would not be recommended for use on glass. On the internal side of the glass you could use Bedec Aqua-Advanced High Obliterating Matt White or Bedec Multi Surface Paint White Matt. Ensure the glass is really clean all the way to the edges, after application it will take some time to fully cure and while this is happening be careful not to damage the paint film. Any low level glass this got applied to that could get scratched over time.
![]() | Question: Is this product suitable for a polycarbonate conservatory roof? The roof is pitched. |
Answer: No, but the Bedec Super-Flex Solar Reflective White can.
![]() | Question: Can this be used on epdm rubber |
Answer: No, but GacoPro Roof Coating can.
![]() | Question: Coo-Var Solar Reflective Paint White Is above pack suitable for ash felt & wooden decking ? Thx |
Answer: Coo-Var Solar Reflective Paint White can be applied to both stable felt and wood on pitched roofs not subject to foot traffic.
![]() | Question: We undertake cyclical works on our properties every seven years. Will this product if used on our existing asphalt roofs last from one 7 year cycle to the next. |
Answer: If your roofs have a pitch greater than 15 degrees then yes. If not then we would recommend the Coo-Var Solar Reflective Paint Aluminium. In both instances the roof would need to be cleaned with a proprietary fungicidal wash (something like our 805 Fungicidal Wash) and then followed by two full coats of either White or Aluminium Solar Reflective Paint.
![]() | Question: Can the Coo-Var Solar Reflective Paint White be used on polycarbonate roofing sheets? |
Answer: No, but the Bedec Super-Flex Solar Reflective White can.
