Jotun Tankguard Plus is a two component polyamine cured novolac epoxy coating that has high resistance to most sour crude oils and a wide range of chemicals and solvents. It has outstanding chemical resistance to crude oil at temperatures up to 160°C. Jotun Tankguard Plus can be used as a primer, mid coat or finish coat in atmospheric and immersed environments on properly prepared carbon steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel and concrete substrates.
Jotun Tankguard Plus is specially designed as an internal lining for offshore, onshore and buried tanks and pipes such as chemical storage, waste water, grey water, process water, concrete bund, fire service lines and drilling mud tanks. Jotun are happy to support with advice and documentation required for these types of coating projects but as they are removed from the end user the ability to control all risks involved with a coating project for a tank is limited. Jotun Thinner No. 23 is a paint thinner designed to improve the flow of Jotun Tankguard epoxy products. It can also be used as a cleaner of pumps and tools after and before painting.
Jotun Thinner No. 23 is specially suitable as a thinner for tankguard epoxy products.
• These colour samples are to be used for guidance only.
• Product contained within is generic to provide a close representation to your chosen colour.
• Should not be used to carry out any painting project, this is for colour selection purposes only and does not remove the need for you to ensure the correct product is chosen and tested for your application once a colour has been decided on.
• It is not a sample of the product you intend to purchase/use and cannot be used to test anything other than colour appearance.
• Notwithstanding any other provision of our conditions of sale, you agree and understand that many factors affect the colour of a painted product, including lighting, sheen level, method of application, batches variances number of coats and substrate surface.
• We cannot therefore promise that the colour of the product you ultimately purchase will exactly match the colour of this colour sample.
• Once you have selected a colour, you must purchase the smallest amount of the product you intend to use in your chosen colour and apply to a small, inconspicuous test area to be sure that it meets your expectations.
• Leave the product for 24 hours and then only buy more paint and/or apply more paint if you are completely happy with the results on the test area.
