Zenova IP embeds the most modern insulating technology in a thermos-like ultra-thin layer. Intended for use in new thermal improvement projects, for the renovation and maintenance of existing wall assemblies to improve their thermal performance. Suitable internally and externally for walls, roofs (metallic, ceramic etc. ), pipes, ducting, and offers protection against humidity, very high and very low temperatures.
Zenova IP is a monocomponent thermal insulating paint. It is an ecological product based on ceramic microspheres which, after application, presents outstanding properties of thermal insulation internally and externally, thermal reflection of sunrays and infrared radiation, anti-condensation and anti-mold characteristics.
The longer Zenova IP is in use, the larger the return on the investment into its application.
Governments around the globe are imposing a wide range of sweeping emission-reduction measures, paving the way for innovative technologies such as the application of Zenova IP insulating paint. Communities, businesses, and governments can more easily comply with new emission standards while also reducing energy consumption and associated costs by applying Zenova IP both inside and outside of buildings.
With global warming and the need, not the desire, to protect our only planet at the forefront of virtually every government’s agenda, the time has never been better to apply Zenova IP as an additional measure towards achieving net zero emissions.
Saving Through Innovation
While there are obvious uses when applied internally and externally to buildings, the benefits achieved via the simple thin-coat application of Zenova IP are not limited to the construction sector.
The application of Zenova IP as an insulating barrier applied to the inside and outside of refrigerated compartments of all manner of commercial vessels will effectively help the transport industry move towards achieving new, lofty, efficiency goals - all while reducing the costs associated with refrigerated shipping.
Similarly, when applied to the rooftops of manufacturing and storage facilities, Zenova IP can greatly increase the efficiency of these spaces, offering an ever-increasing ROI as this one-time solution remains effective for years to come.
In addition to the energy savings realized from the application of Zenova IP, the lifespan of assets such as pipelines and storage tanks is extended considerably with built-in corrosion protection features.
All surfaces should be properly prepared and cleaned.
Remove any loose paint or rust. Wash off dirt and grease with detergent, rinse and allow to dry.
Remove mildew stains with a mildew stain removing product.
Scuff sand glossy surfaces and repair imperfections. Remove all dust with a damp cloth and allow to dry.
Allow new plaster and masonry to cure for 30 days before painting.
Apply a layer of Zenova Primer to prepared surface with a paint brush, lime brush, roller or by pulverization.
Volume required for Zenova Primer layer is 50 -100 ml/m².
Once prep is complete and Zenova Primer is completely dry you are ready to apply Zenova IP. Stir paint thoroughly prior to use.
Zenova IP can be applied with a paint brush, roller, lime brush or by air-less spray gun (details of approved models are in the Equipment Guidelines, available from the Data Sheets tab). Allow each layer to dry completely before applying additional layers.
Recommended application temperature is 10-40°C.
Theoretical product consumption: 830-1300 ml/m² at a total wet film thickness of 0.8- 1.3mm to achieve a dry film thickness of 0.5-0.8mm. Thermal performance and actual product consumption may vary depending on the substrate, equipment used, application method, and building type.
For most cases, the recommended thickness is 1.5mm. As a general rule, the larger the temperature difference between the 2 areas that are separated by Zenova IP, the thicker Zenova IP should be applied.
Zenova IP has been independently tested to the following standards by multiple accredited testing agencies. (Reports available for download from the data sheets tab further above.)
Special measures of protection are not necessary, the product being non-flammable and non-dangerous.
Zenova IP is packed in sealed PE buckets. Store away from direct sunlight and preferably away from negative temperatures.
Storage temperature: 5-35°C.
Shelf-life is 36 months after production date.
