Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint is a high quality chlorinated rubber coating for protecting and redecorating swimming pools.

Surface Preparation
Surfaces to be painted should be free from nibs, cavities, and other imperfections
Mould, oil stains, if any, must be removed
Moisture content of concrete must be below 14% prior to application of any coating
Concrete and render should be treated with Coo-Var Acid Etch prior to painting to remove any dirt and laitance and to create a good "key" for the paint
Apply a 10% thinned coat of Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint to prime and seal the surface prior to applying any unthinned coats
Surfaces previously painted with Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint and that are in good condition can be scrubbed clean and the surface roughened to help adhesion of the new coating, a test area is advised to ensure compatibility of the new coating
Old perished chlorinated rubber coatings should be removed mechanically and treated as new substrate and prepared accordingly
If the painted surface is unknown then a test area is recommended before full application to check for compatibility and adhesion

Application Conditions:
As dictated by normal good painting practice
In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying
From application of the final coat, leave the pool for a minimum of 14 days before filling with water
Preceding Coat:
On concrete and porous surfaces use Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint thinned 10% with Teamac Thinner 15

I have a pool with a very discoloured and scratched pool liner (from a brown algae) which now looks yucky but is actually clean!! I don’t want to re line as the liner is still fully functional but just doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing! I wondered if this product, or any of your other products would be suitable for application directly onto a pool liner? I have everything crossed!
