Remmers Induline OW-815, a water-based agent with special UV absorbers and lignin stabilisers to protect the surfaces of external wood decks, garden furniture and wood facades.
For building elements with little-to-no dimensional stability.
Induline OW-815 can be used everywhere where a special water repelling effect is desired to maintain the beauty of wood.
Induline OW-815 can be used everywhere where a special water repelling effect is desired to maintain the beauty of wood. The product is especially suitable for treating wood decks made of teak, bangkirai, larch, Douglas fir, etc.
The product is also suitable for treating other wood building elements such as garden furniture and wood used for facades.
Induline OW-815 is not suitable for merbau and massaranduba. We recommend the use of Maintenance Oil for these species of wood. In case of exotic species of wood not mentioned here, get in touch with Remmers/Rawlins Technical Support Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or send a message to [email protected].
Through the use of special raw materials, the surfaces of treated wood become water repelling but remains diffusion-open which reduces the penetration of water.
This, in turn, reduces swelling and shrinking. Induline OW-815 is high yielding and prevents soil from penetrating more deeply into the surface. The coating does not tear or flake.
Induline OW-815 contains a preservative to protect the film from damage caused by microorganisms (mould, algae, etc.).
Apply by brush, roller, application equipment, vacuum procedures.
The wood must be dry and free of dust, dirt, grease and wax. Wash off resin-rich and oily species such as larch or teak with V 101 Thinner.
Remove non-adhering and weathered old coatings. Prime soft wood as well as all species of wood used outdoors that are sensitive to fungi with a wood preservative (e.g. Induline SW-900*). Apply two coats of undiluted Induline OW-815 in the direction of the grain.
When coating soft wood with clear Induline OW-815, three coats are recommended.
Stir well before using, during work and after pauses.
Working temperature: 10 - 25 °C. Lower temperatures have a negative effect on curing/anchorage to the substrate.
Carry out a trial coating to check the shade of colour and compatibility with the substrate.
* Use biocides safely and responsibly. Always read the label and product information before using.
Induline OW-815 clear has shorter renovation intervals than the pigmented versions.
To prevent a delay in the drying of wood rich in substances that bleed, the wood should be weathered for several weeks or pretreated with commercially available cleaners for wood before they are treated for the first time.
When species of wood such as oak, Australian blackwood, kapur, bangkirai, merbau, iroko, belinga, eucalyptus, Douglas fir, larch, etc. that contains water soluble substances are coated, these substances may be washed out by precipitation which can cause dark stains on adjacent building elements such as light-coloured masonry work or render.
To prevent pockets of moisture which facilitate infestation with fungi that destroy wood, decks should be swept off with a broom regularly.
Induline OW-815 should only be used for the intended purpose and only according to directions. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not eat, drink or smoke when working. Do not store this product together with food or animal feed. Ensure good ventilation when working in closed spaces.
Clean tools immediately after use with water and a detergent. Stubborn soiling can be removed with Aqua RK 898 Cleaning Concentrate (art. No. 3868). Dispose of the remains from cleaning properly.
