Architectural™ (water based) opaque finish is a decorative microporous, flexible coloured coating which gives a low sheen finish to timber. Resistant to mould growth, Architectural™ (water based) also protects timber from harmful UV light. The wood stain penetrates the surface of the timber giving perfect adhesion so no primer is required and the surface will not flake or crack. Architectural™ (water based) requires very little maintenance to preserve its colour and strength.
• Opaque finish
• BBA tested performance
• Over 5 years life expectancy
• Very quick drying, re-coatable within 2 hours
• Water repellent but allows timber to breathe
• Suitable for use with pre-treated and pre-stained timber

Question: I would like to buy Architectual Solignum. It is to be used on treated new gate posts. Which is the best for this, water based and solvent based please.
Do you do ebony in 2.5ltr.
Both products will be fine for this, the solvent grade may give slightly longer life before first recoat required however both are good durable coatings.
You haven't stated what type of timber the posts are made from so we couldn’t say if one might be slightly better for a particular timber type.
The water based product is available in a 2.5 litre only in ebony, the solvent grade 1 litre and 5 litres.
