Hello Can the tannin primer be used on kitchen worktops? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This product is not food safe as it has ingredients that help prevent tannin coming out of wood. It is predominantly water based with enzymes in that will block tannic acid from reacting when the surface comes into contact with water. Essentially it is used to clean and prep the wood prior to oiling and as such will evaporate as it dries. You would then put a Rubio oil over the top which of course is food safe such as Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C. | |
