Rust-Oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface is a versatile, solvent-based coating designed for a wide range of applications. This two-pack product acts as both a primer and topcoat, providing superior adhesion and durability on various substrates. Ideal for industrial and professional use, it ensures long-lasting protection and an attractive finish.
Application and Uses
This product is formulated to adhere to numerous surfaces, making it a great choice for wood, metal, MDF, masonry, tiles, most rigid plastics, and old concrete. Its quick-drying properties allow for efficient application, reducing downtime. Note that it should not be used on surfaces with poor adhesion or those prone to moisture exposure without proper preparation.
- Direct application without the need for a separate primer.
- Available in multiple finishes: gloss, satin, and matt.
- Brush and roller application recommended for best results.
- For metal structures in aggressive environments, pair with Rust-Oleum CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion 3369/3380.
Preparation and Application Conditions
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Remove rust, mill scale, and loose coatings through scraping or sanding. Test adhesion on old coatings before full application. For new galvanized, zinc, and aluminum surfaces, use CombiPrimer 3302 for optimal results. Application should occur in temperatures between 5° and 35°C with humidity below 85%.
- Homogenize coating materials thoroughly before use.
- Use natural bristle brushes or short nap rollers for application.
- Thinning is generally not required.

CombiColor Multi-Surface contains no lead or chromates, making it safer for use and disposal. However, it is classified as a flammable liquid and should be stored and handled with care. Ensure good ventilation during application and wear appropriate protective equipment to avoid inhalation and skin contact.

Assuming the sleepers are bare, are not being used as a retaining wall or in direct contact with the ground, they are clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical datasheet, you could consider applying this product.
