Flowcrete PHS Penetrating Hardening System - High-Performance, Two-Component Epoxy Primer

Where It Can Be Used

Restrictions and Limitations

It is important to note that PHS is not intended for home DIY use and should only be applied by trained professionals. It should not be applied on substrates that have not been properly prepared, or in environments where temperatures fall below 10°C. The product is also not suitable for use on substrates that are susceptible to moisture ingress during curing.

Application Guidelines

The two components of the PHS system should be mixed thoroughly using a slow-speed drill and a helical spinner. Apply the product immediately using a rubber rake or roller to ensure even coverage. The mixture should be used within 20 minutes at 20°C, as the epoxy will begin to exotherm and react, producing heat and potentially black smoke. Always follow the product's technical datasheet for proper usage and disposal instructions.

Compatibility with Other Products

PHS is compatible with other Flowcrete systems, including Flowshield SL, Flowtex F1 Mortar, and Isocrete products. It can be used alongside these products for comprehensive flooring solutions, especially in environments where high traffic or chemical resistance is necessary.

Health and Safety

PHS contains epoxy resins and should be handled with care. The mixture of components A and B generates heat, and care should be taken to avoid prolonged exposure. It may cause skin and eye irritation. Always wear appropriate protective gear, including gloves and goggles, during application. In case of smoke generation, use a charcoal filter or air-fed mask.
