Flowcrete Flowfresh Cove Coating

Flowfresh Cove Coating is a premium, three-component polyurethane coating designed to protect and refurbish concrete and cementitious substrates. In 8 attractive colours, it is ideal for reviving "old" coatings and providing a hygienic finish. This water-based solution ensures effective bonding even on surfaces with high relative humidity (up to 97%).

Application and Use

This product is versatile for indoor use, effectively renovating Flowcrete RT and Flowfresh MF coatings, as well as HF Cove. Its robust formulation allows it to be applied using a roller or brush, providing a smooth finish on surface-dry substrates. Ensure the substrate temperature is above 5°C, and avoid application in temperatures below this threshold.

• Not suitable for DIY applications due to the health hazards and training required.
• Do not use on substrates exposed to extreme temperatures or where moisture ingress is an issue.

Mixing Instructions

To achieve optimal performance, mix 1.2 parts of Component A (Base), 1 part of Component B (Hardener), and 1.2 parts of Component C (Filler) by weight. Combine the components carefully using a slow-speed drill and helical spinner to avoid air entrapment. Ensure that all materials are thoroughly blended.

• Pot life of the mixed product is 15 minutes at 20°C.
• Decant into smaller quantities if applying in detailed areas.
• Avoid mixing in freezing temperatures or under direct sunlight.

Drying and Curing Times

Flowfresh Cove Coating is designed for rapid curing to minimise downtime:

• Ready for light traffic within 24 hours.
• Can be overcoated after 16 hours.
• Fully cured and ready for heavy traffic after 48 hours.

For optimal results, avoid washing or covering the coated surface within the first 36 hours.

Limitations and Recommendations

It is crucial to avoid use on substrates prone to high moisture ingress or surfaces where extreme temperatures are prevalent. The product should not be used for home DIY projects due to its professional-grade formulation and the need for proper safety protocols.
