Professional Grade Silicone for Durable Sealing
This high-performance, single-component sealant is designed for long-lasting joint sealing across demanding environments. It combines low modulus flexibility with neutral curing technology, offering strong adhesion without the need for primers on most substrates.
Compatible with Multiple Substrates
Suitable for both porous and non-porous materials, it adheres effectively to uPVC, glass, powder-coated aluminium, wood (painted or unpainted), and concrete. It is especially suited for expansion joints, glazing, facade panels, roof parapets and masonry structures. Glass-to-glass and glass-to-metal bonding is also supported, making it ideal for curtain walling and insulated glass units.
Applications Across Construction and Glazing
This sealant is designed for perimeter pointing around windows and doors, weather sealing precast and natural stone panels, and bedding of double glazing units. It also serves in structural and non-structural applications in façades and roofing.
- Perimeter joints – internal and external
- Roof joints and parapet sealing
- Glass and aluminium cladding joints
- Expansion and movement joints up to ±25% (ISO) and ±35% (ASTM)
Easy to Use with Excellent Performance
With a slow skinning time of 30–45 minutes, this sealant allows precise tooling on large projects. The high viscosity formula resists slump in vertical joints. Once cured, it withstands temperatures from -50 °C to +150 °C and remains flexible with an elongation rate exceeding 200%.
Limitations and Compatibility
This sealant should not be used on food contact surfaces, swimming pool joints, or as an aquarium adhesive. Avoid use on surfaces that bleed oils or solvents. It is not paintable. It is also unsuitable for mirrors, or use in conjunction with bitumen, asphalt or certain organic elastomers. If bleach or hydrochloric acid-based cleaners are used during cure, yellowing may occur. Always test on natural stone to prevent potential staining.
Recommended Ancillaries and Surface Preparation
For best results, prepare surfaces with Sika Cleaner P and Sika Aktivator-205. For porous or immersed joints, use Sika Primer-3 N or Primer-115. Use Joint Backer Rod to control sealant depth. Uncured product can be cleaned with white spirit or Sika Wonder Wipes. Cured sealant must be removed mechanically.
Always Refer to the Data Sheet
Application methods should follow Sika’s Façade Joint Sealing Method Statement. For complete performance data, chemical compatibility, and installation advice, consult the full Product Data Sheet.
