High-Performance Water-Based Impregnation Agent and Primer

Designed for professional applications on mineral surfaces. This two-component system offers excellent adhesion and water vapour diffusion properties, making it ideal for use in Remmers water vapour diffusion (WDD) systems. The product ensures strong substrate penetration, reinforcing surface integrity while maintaining breathability.

Where It Can Be Used

Suitable for use on a wide range of mineral surfaces, including:

• Concrete
• Cement screeds
• Anhydrite screeds
• Magnesite screeds

The product is specifically designed for applications where high adhesion and moisture control are required.

Application Instructions

The substrate must be clean, stable, and free from contaminants such as dust, grease, and loose particles. It should have a minimum tensile strength of 1.5 N/mm² and a compressive strength of at least 25 N/mm².

Before application, ensure that moisture content does not exceed the following levels:

• Concrete: Max. 6% moisture
• Cement screed: Max. 6% moisture
• Anhydrite screed: Max. 0.3% moisture
• Magnesite screed: 2-4% moisture

Mix component A and B in a 75:25 ratio by weight and stir thoroughly for at least 3 minutes. Apply using an epoxy roller, rubber scraper, or brush, ensuring full penetration into the substrate. The working time is approximately 60 minutes at 20°C.

For high-absorbency surfaces, dilute with up to 20% water before application.

Drying & Curing Time

• Foot traffic: 1 day
• Mechanical loading: 3 days
• Full chemical resistance: 7 days

Ensure adequate ventilation to facilitate drying and avoid moisture contact during curing.

Limitations & Restrictions

Not suitable for use on non-mineral substrates or surfaces exposed to UV light. Epoxy resins may develop slight discoloration over time. Abrasive mechanical loads can leave wear marks.

For optimal results, apply at temperatures between +8°C and +30°C with a relative humidity below 80%. The substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point to prevent condensation.
