Performance and Durability

QP Color is formulated for environments where floors must endure mechanical loads, chemical exposure, and significant foot and vehicular traffic. With full curing possible from as low as +3°C, this system ensures reliable performance in various conditions.

Surface Preparation and Compatibility

Proper surface preparation is essential for optimal adhesion. The substrate must be firm, stable, and free from contaminants such as dust, grease, and loose particles. Recommended primers include:

• Epoxy MT 100
• Epoxy ST 100
• Epoxy FAS 100

Ensure that the primer is applied as a pore-filling layer for effective protection against alkalis. Always consult the product data sheet for detailed preparation guidelines.

Mixing and Application

QP Color is supplied in a combi-container system. Mix components A, B, and C thoroughly using a low-speed electric mixer. Ensure proper blending to avoid inconsistencies. Application should be carried out immediately after mixing, with the following recommendations:

• Apply directly onto the prepared surface using a roller or squeegee.
• For blinded coatings, broadcast quartz sand or flakes while the base layer is still wet.
• For sealing, apply with a rubber scraper and finish with an epoxy roller.

Restrictions and Limitations

QP Color should not be used in permanently wet environments. It must be protected from moisture during curing, as this can impact adhesion and surface quality. Excessive residual material left in the container beyond its pot life may generate heat and odours. Not suitable for use on flexible substrates or areas with excessive movement.

QP Color contains hazardous components requiring careful handling:

• Component A: Contains epoxy resins that may cause skin irritation and allergic reactions.
• Component B: Harmful if swallowed, may cause allergic skin reactions, and is highly toxic to aquatic life.
