Unfortunately most concrete sealers are not suitable to be over painted. If you are looking to paint the garage floor some preparation by grinding, blasting or acid etching would be required first. In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

Designed to penetrate and bind concrete, sand/cement floor screeds, blockwork and rendered walls. Produces a dust-free concrete surface with a subtle sheen.

Spreading Rate

These will vary depending on substrate, the site conditions and longevity required.

Typically spreading rates will vary depending on the end use.

Because of its penetrating characteristics, the coverage is subject to great variation depending on the porosity of the substrate
As a guide, the coverage is generally between 8-10m² per litre per coat
The coverage of the second coat will normally be considerably more than the first

Drying Times

At least 1-2 hours in warm, dry, well-ventilated conditions, longer if cold and damp) before applying the second coat

Preparation

Floor areas must be clean, dry and free of all contamination
The floor must be allowed to dry and cleaned and any dust or debris swept or vacuumed off
Wall surfaces to be sealed should be brushed dry to remove dust and loose material

Application

Stir well before use
Do not thin
Britannia Concrete Floor Sealer may be applied using a soft brush or broom, a nylon pile roller or squeegee
Please follow the coverage rates shown in Spreading Rate Section
A thin, even, puddle-free first coat should be applied
Must be allowed to DRY THOROUGHLY (at least 1-2 hours in warm, dry, well-ventilated conditions, longer if cold and damp) before applying the second coat

Cleaning

Tools and equipment, hands and skin should be cleaned whilst material is still wet using soap and water

Shelf Life & Storage

Up to 18 months if stored in dry conditions at temperatures between +5ºC and +35ºC. Storage at higher temperatures may reduce the shelf life
Protect from frost

Precautions

Keep out of reach of children
In case of contact with eyes wash immediately with plenty of water
Remove splashes from skin with soap and water or a recognised hand cleaner
Protect from freezing
Do not apply paint if there is a risk of heavy rain or frost
Do not use near fishponds
