Wethertex PP77 All Weather Pliolite Masonry Paint - Premium Solvent-Borne Coating
Designed for use on various masonry surfaces. Formulated with advanced Pliolite technology, this paint offers excellent adhesion and durability, even in adverse weather conditions. It can be applied in temperatures as low as -5°C, making it ideal for all-year-round use.
Application Instructions
- Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from algae, lichen, and other growths before application.
- Repair cracks and structural defects. Remove any existing crazed or flaking paint, dirt, grease, or other contaminants.
- Apply Wethertex C10 Fungicidal Wash if there is evidence of organic growth, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Apply using a brush, short pile roller, or spray in temperatures ranging from -5°C to 25°C.
- For very porous surfaces, thin the product by no more than 10% using clean white spirit for a penetrating base coat. Do not thin for normal application.
- Apply two coats for optimal coverage and protection.
Storage and Handling
Store in a dry place at temperatures above 5°C. Ensure the container is tightly sealed when not in use. Avoid the risk of spillage by storing and transporting in a secure, upright position. Clean all equipment with clean white spirit immediately after use. Dispose of waste material according to local regulations. Do not empty waste into drainage systems.
Important Usage Guidelines
- Avoid application if heavy rain is forecast or if relative humidity exceeds 95%.
- Do not apply in direct sunlight, on hot surfaces (above 30°C), or when the substrate is below +1°C.
- Protect the coated surface from heavy rain, direct sun, or wind during the first 24 hours after application to prevent damage, wash-off, or discolouration.
- If these parameters are not met, the performance and durability of the product may be compromised.

Would this product be suitable as a topcoat to prevent stains bleeding through on brick cellar walls which have previously been damp proofed with 2 coats Climashield damp proofing and then over coated in Sandtex microporous masonry paint? |

No, unfortunately this product isn't suitable. If the stains are bleeding through after previous coats of a Damp Proof Coating, it is likely the damp issue needs to be sorted firstly and would mean any existing coating's removed and taken back to bare, before potentially applying a Sika One Rendering System to fix this issue. | |
