The P101 2-Pack Polyurethane Varnish is a two-component, clear aliphatic polyurethane coating, designed for use on wooden floors that endure heavy foot traffic. Its high-gloss finish provides a sleek and durable protective layer, ideal for use in gymnasiums, dance floors, and other similar environments. This professional-grade varnish ensures long-lasting results, with excellent resistance to wear, making it perfect for interior and exterior applications.

Application and Usage

P101 is easy to apply using a brush, short nap mohair roller, or airless spray. For best results, ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Wood should be sanded to create an adequate key for adhesion. Once mixed, the varnish should be applied in thin, even coats, with a recoat time of a minimum of 16 hours. It is essential to mix the activator and base components thoroughly using a slow-speed electric mixer to avoid uncured areas in the coating.

• Touch dry in 3-4 hours at 20°C
• Recoat time: minimum 16 hours, maximum 72 hours
• Full hardness: 5-7 days at 20°C

Restrictions and Limitations

The P101 varnish should not be applied over conventional solvent-based varnishes or paints. It is important to avoid application in high humidity or temperatures outside the recommended 5-30°C range, as this may affect the drying and curing process. For spraying applications, the use of suitable personal protective equipment, including air-fed breathing apparatus, is necessary due to the emission of small amounts of free isocyanates. Avoid application in confined spaces without adequate ventilation.
