Coo-Var Anti-Damp Paint

This anti-damp paint is specifically formulated to resist moisture and prevent efflorescence on interior surfaces. Its unique composition makes it ideal for use on damp walls and ceilings, ensuring effective coverage and protection. Designed for use on plaster, cement, and stone, this paint combines active reagents that work with surface moisture to provide long-lasting resistance against damp.

Application Instructions

Before application, ensure all surfaces are clean, sound, and free from contaminants. Damp surfaces should not be saturated. For best results, remove loose, flaking material and address any structural or plumbing issues causing damp. Glossy surfaces should be abraded before applying the paint.

Once the surface is prepared, apply the paint using a brush or roller. The product dries within 12 hours and can be overcoated after this time. Always ensure adequate ventilation during and after application, especially in confined areas.

Restrictions and Limitations

This paint should not be applied to saturated surfaces, and any source of moisture, such as leaks or rising damp, should be addressed before application. Do not use on surfaces exposed to direct contact with water or in exterior environments.

If mould or lichen is present, treat the area with a proprietary mould remover before painting. This product should not be used as a substitute for structural repairs. For areas with persistent damp, other treatments may be recommended.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and ensure good ventilation to avoid inhalation of vapours. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water.
