Can this be used on previously ordinary painted interior wooden surfaces

Yes this can be applied to most previously painted substrates assuming they meet the minimum requirements of the system. can i apply this start onto the timber joists as i want an open beam look?

please can you tell drying time between coats of thermoguard timbercoat

The drying time between coats at 20°C is approximately 6 hours, this can vary dependant on temperature, humidity and airflow.

no, but assuming you require 30mins protection, the plasterboard is at least 9mm thick and building control approval is sought for this application, Thermoguard Wallcoat 30 & 60 Minute System for Plasterboard can be used.

In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

*Colours are sold in the nearest tin size but actual paint volume per tin may vary up to 10% depending on colour

Colour reproduction of the Products on the Site is limited by the technology used to deliver web pages and by the colour representation of Customer’s own monitor and computer set-up. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. We recommend that Customer first purchases the smallest Product available or access an industry standard colour chart in person (and not digitally) to ensure that the colour is acceptable for its purposes.

Apply 3 coats of Thermoguard Timbercoat @ 4m² per kg/per coat

Either application of Timbercoat should always be followed by;

External, Damp or High Wear Applications: 2 coats Thermoguard Smoke & Flame Retardant (SFR) Dualcoat Satin or Matt

2 coats of Thermoguard Smoke & Flame Retardant (SFR) Dualcoat may also be required for strong/dark colours - Thermoguard Timbercoat will be provided in a suitable undercoat shade to aid topcoat opacity unless instructed otherwise.
