Application Instructions

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of contaminants before application. For porous surfaces, a second coat may be required.
Limitations
- Not suitable for heavy water stains, floors, decks, roofs, or surfaces in prolonged contact with water
- Avoid use on surfaces subject to immersion or continuous water exposure
Ensure proper ventilation during application and curing. Store in a cool, dry place, and avoid freezing temperatures.

I want to paint a stainless steel door to a lift. Currently it is a very shiny smooth surface. What primer is recommended prior to painting on a top coat. |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Assuming the stainless steel is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical datasheet, this product can be applied to stainless steel, to provide improved adhesion for subsequent topcoat finishes. Assuming you are wanting a decorative finish, you could then consider 2 coats of Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original in your choice of Satin or Gloss, mixed to many RAL, BS or NCS Colours of choice to finish, which we'd recommend to apply to a small test area to check for compatibility and adhesion. An alternative we can recommend with greater confidence would be to prime with a coat of Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion, before 2 coats of Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original in your choice of many RAL, BS & NCS Colours to a Gloss or Satin finish. | |

Yes, assuming the galvanised steel is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical datasheet, this product can be applied to prime the Galvanised Steel. For a suitable topcoat finish, Zinsser AllCoat Exterior in a choice of Satin, Matt or Gloss can then be used as a decorative topcoat finish, mixed to your choice of 4400+ RAL, BS & NCS Colours. | |
