Flu viruses can make painted walls and wood contagious for one or more weeks. Bacteria can breed and colonise on painted walls and wood.
Walls protected by Thermoguard Safewalls rapidly accelerate the death of Corona & Flu viruses, help prevent bacteria colonisation and eradication of harmful bacteria.
Multiple coats of different paint types and brands can cause a flamespread risk as well as wood. Insulation foam installed in modern buildings has been revealed to be highly flammable and release cyanide gas, making control of flamespread more important than ever. Painted walls can harbour and cause spread of dangerous bacteria, fungal & other infections.
British Class 0 is superseded by BS EN Class B s1 d0, protecting from toxic gases & smoke as well as flamespread.

How it Works
Safewalls Insulating basecoat expands in a fire to create a resilient insulating barrier.
Safewalls Anti-Viral Smoke and Flame Retardant emits a safe fire damping vapour in a fire to control flame spread and suppress smoke.
Safewalls SFR’s polyurethane hardened acrylic “cross-links” during the drying process to form a smoother, harder, more cleanable surface than typical wall paints and help eliminate the microscopic pockets that host bacteria which prevent effective cleaning. A unique concentrated mix of safe, biocidal metal encapsulated nano-particles attacks viruses and bacteria that settle on surfaces, damaging their protective “envelope” to kill their live cores and disable their spikes penetration of lung’s cells.
LRV Explained
What is LRV?
Light Reflectance Value is the acronym referring to the lightness and darkness of colours, running on a scale from 0% to 100% that increases with the light in a colour.
LRV is commonly confused with "intensity", which actually refers to how vivid or dull a colour is.
Why is LRV important?
LRV is vital for contractors and designers working with care homes, hospitals and other healthcare facilities used by patients suffering from colour blindness, visual impairments or dementia. Using colours that are distinct from another will help aid navigation and can improve mood.
Using clear and high level contrasting colours will help patients distinguish between walls and ceilings, seating, doors and other surfaces. The best way to measure contrast is with the LRV, with at least 30 point difference between colours on adjoining surfaces, helping meet legal requirements of the Equality Act 2010.
