Description
Rust-Oleum Mathys Elastofill - Fleixlbe Joint Sealant
Elastofill is an elastic jointing paste based on acrylic dispersions, designed to form a rubberlike mass with permanently high elasticity. It is perfect for sealing, jointing, filling, and fixing on a wide range of surfaces including concrete, wood, metal, glass, hard PVC, tiles, plaster, and alu-bitumen. This product is waterproof, alkali-resistant, and very resistant to ageing, ensuring that it maintains its performance over time. Additionally, Elastofill is paintable, making it versatile for various finishing touches.
Application Instructions
For optimal results, prepare the surface by grinding out fine cracks in a V-shape. If the depth is greater than half the width, apply a back filling. Prime the crack edges with appropriate primers such as Pegafix, or Vernac. Use a manual spray gun, spatula, palette knife, or glue spreader for application, and ensure the application conditions are met: above 5°C and maximum relative humidity of 80%.
Usage Restrictions
Do not apply Elastofill on surfaces that are not adequately primed. Avoid use on surfaces that are constantly submerged in water or exposed to extreme temperatures. Always smoothen the joints with a finger or cloth soaked in an appropriate thinner or water with soap. For porous surfaces, always use an appropriate primer to ensure proper adhesion and performance.
Recommendations
For best results, use compatible primers and paints such as Murfill. Always refer to the downloadable data sheet for detailed instructions and safety information. Regularly check and maintain the application equipment for consistent performance.
