Ensure that all surfaces are properly prepared, clean, and dry before application. This primer can be applied using a brush, and it is advised to sand new wood for better adhesion. It provides a smooth base for subsequent topcoats and is perfect for areas requiring precision and care.
Drying and Overcoating
The primer dries to the touch in just 2 hours at 20°C, with a full recoat time of 6 hours. The product is formulated to be easy to work with, allowing for quick re-application and minimal downtime between coats. For best results, apply at temperatures above 7°C.
Limitations
Do not apply this primer in temperatures below 7°C as it will negatively impact drying time and performance. It is also essential to avoid using this product in confined spaces without proper ventilation. Make sure to follow all safety instructions, and do not thin the product beyond the recommended 10% with clean water. This primer should not be used on exterior surfaces or substrates other than MDF.

 Masha on 2020-11-22 20:02:09 | Question: Hello. I bought a moisture proof mdf that I wanted to use as a kitchen table. I chose the moisture proof one because of the green color. Anyhow, it is not water proof and the stains can not be cleaned so I wanted to use a primer to protect it and make the cleaning easier. Does a transparent/clear version exist? Is the product compatible with the moisture resistant mdf? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Moisture resistant MDF would need to be thoroughly abraded prior to application of the primer. The primer must then be overcoated with a compatible topcoat as it cannot be left as a finish. | |
