Teamac High Temperature Aluminium Paint
This high-temperature aluminium paint is a premium enamel coating specifically formulated to withstand extreme heat conditions up to 450°C. It provides a durable, satin finish that not only enhances the appearance of metal surfaces but also offers excellent protection against the damaging effects of high temperatures. Whether you're looking to coat fire surrounds, radiators, or hot pipes, this paint is designed to perform reliably in challenging environments.
Application and Uses
The paint is ideally suited for use on metal surfaces that are exposed to elevated temperatures. It can be used on various applications, including:
- Fire surrounds
- Radiators
- Hot pipes
- Boilers
- Heat exchangers
Before application, ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free from any contaminants such as grease or rust. Blast cleaning to SA 2½ is recommended for optimal results. If blast cleaning is not feasible, thorough mechanical cleaning should be employed.
Application Conditions
For best results, apply the paint in well-ventilated areas, adhering to good painting practices. The paint should be mixed thoroughly before use. Please note that the dry film only fully cures after being heated gradually to 220°C for 20 to 30 minutes. During this curing process, the film remains thermoplastic and sensitive to certain solvents.
Restrictions and Limitations
This product should not be applied to surfaces that are not clean, dry, or free from rust and other contaminants. It is not suitable for use on non-metal surfaces or surfaces that will be exposed to direct flame. Avoid applying in confined spaces without adequate ventilation, and do not apply if the ambient temperature is below 5°C or above 25°C. Always refer to the downloadable data sheet for comprehensive application guidelines and safety information.
Recommended Products
For surfaces that require additional protection or priming before applying this high-temperature paint, consider using a compatible primer from the same manufacturer. This ensures optimal adhesion and durability of the topcoat. For cleaning and surface preparation, the use of a universal degreaser is recommended.

tom rashotte on 2019-11-03 13:17:00 | Question:
will this paint prevent corrosion between the painted aluminum and unpainted stainless steel (in a wet environment)? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
No, but you could use the following system over aluminium; Surface preparation: Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from metal corrosion products prior to application. Light sweep with non-metallic and chloride free abrasive (e.g. aluminium oxide or garnet) to obtain anchor profile of approximately 50 microns.
Alternatively, some sort of insulation material may also work.

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: This paint should be applied by brush or roller.
