Fences that are allowed to become degraded over time offer little to no prevention to intruders and wildlife, such as rabbits and foxes, which can cause security concerns for homeowners and landlords. This can also cause damage to landscaping, vegetable plots, fruit trees, and more.

Ensuring that sheds are properly coated and protected helps guard against invasion from wildlife looking to nest, and for vandals to find a way to open a hole large enough to steal from.

Protect wooden structures from the elements all year round with our exterior wood paints, ensuring that sheds and fences remain waterproof, secure, and in great condition.

What is the best paint for a garden fence?

One that will waterproof the wood, protect against harmful UV light, and resist algae and fungal infestations. Our shed and fences paints include Wethertex OT25, Osmo Country Colour, Remmers Aqua, and Zinsser Allcoat Exterior, all of which provide excellent protection for exterior wood surfaces left to brace the elements.

What colour fence paint makes a garden look bigger?

Natural colours like greens and browns will help your garden fence blend in with surroundings like trees and bushes, creating a seamless transition for your eyes.

In decorating it is, correctly, perceived that lighter colours create the illusion of more space. In the garden, however, "light" doesn't have to mean white or cream. Such shades can take focus away from your planting and landscaping. A light blue-grey tone works well with neutral colours such as your garden furniture, or for sea-side style gardens.

We have 2,400+ colour shades to choose from, with popular favourites including Anthracite Grey and Chartwell Green.

Can you paint your side of a neighbour's fence?

We aren't legal experts and would recommend you speak to your neighbour first - but it's assumed that your neighbour's fence is your neighbour's fence, and so you would need permission to paint it.
