Nullifire FP100 Intuputty Pads are designed to protect electrical switches and sockets with plastic or metal back boxes that penetrate one or both faces of a plasterboard partition. Formed from a malleable sheet of silicone-based putty containing an exfoliating intumescent material, Intuputty pads expand when attacked by fire to help prevent the spread of smoke and fire, for up to 2 hours.

Nullifire FP100 Intuputty Pads have a fire rating of up to 2 hours when installed into one or both faces of a fire resistant plasterboard lined steel stud partition. The integrity/insulation performance applies to partitions where a socket box is installed on one face (irrespective of whether that face is exposed or unexposed to fire test conditions), or in both faces of a partition.
Important
The total thickness of the partition, and method of construction, depends upon the required rating. The shall be of a design that has been proven by test or assessment to provide the required fire rating in its own right. In all cases, it is assumed that the partition will be of a design where the board(s) on the exposed face will remain essentially intact and in place for at least 90% of the required integrity period.
Acoustic Tests
Measurement of airborne sound insulation was made in accordance with BS EN ISO 140-3:1995. Single number quantities were calculated in accordance with BS EN ISO 717-1:1997. The Putty Pads provide a Weighted Sound Reduction Index (Rw) of up to 67dB.
