What is the first apply the JOTAFLOOR SEALER COMP.B or JOTAFLOOR TOPCOAT A. (BASE 2).

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Comp A and B should be mixed together before use, not used separately. Use a slow speed drill and mixing paddle. Pour the full contents of the mixed material onto the floor immediately after mixing is completed and use.

Hi Would you need to prime a concrete floor that already has a floor paint applied? paint is stable and not flaking. Also what product would you recommend to recoat steel plate that is a walkway in a boilerhouse? Many thanks

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

To secure lasting adhesion to the subsequent product all surfaces should be clean, dry and free from any contamination. Jotun Jotafloor Topcoat would not require a primer to be applied before application to a clean, dry and undamaged compatible coating (ISO 12944-4 6.1), however we would recommend abrasion first to provide an adequate key for adhesion.

We would recommend something like Smartkote Protectakote UVR for your steel plate.

Hi Again! I think I need to re-word my previous questions: 1. Can JotaFloor Topcoat be applied directly to clean concrete? Or does it need a primer coat first? 2. I understand what Component A & B mean, but on Jutun website it shows varying pot life based on "Comp B (20)" and "Comp B (40)". What does that mean? Many Thanks! Tim

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Before application to a bare, prepared concrete floor Jotun Jotafloor Sealer or Jotun Jotafloor Solvent Free Primer should be applied. The pot life for Jotun Jotafloor Topcoat supplied in the UK is 8 hours at 23°C.
