Mapepoxy UV-S IT is an epoxy putty made from two pre-dosed components (component A = resin and component B = catalyser) which are mixed together in equal parts by weight or by volume prior to use.

Features & Benefits

• When mixed, Mapepoxy UV-S IT forms a highly thixotropic paste that is also suitable for application on vertical surfaces
• Mapepoxy UV-S IT even cures on wet substrates and, when hardened, it becomes waterproof Mapepoxy UV-S IT is characterised by a high mechanical strength and bonds perfectly to concrete
• Mapepoxy UV-S IT can resist to the aggression of acids, bases, salts, oils, hydrocarbons, solvents and freeze-thaw cycles
• Mapepoxy UV-S IT complies with the principles defined in EN 1504-9 (“Products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures: definitions, requirements, quality control and evaluation of conformity. General principles for use of products and systems”), and the minimum requirements of EN 1504-3 (“Structural and non-structural repairs”) for R2- class non-structural mortars and with the requirements of EN 1504-2 standard coating (C), according to the PI, MC, PR, RC and IR principles (Surface protection systems for concrete)

Recommendations & Limitations

• Do not use Mapepoxy UV-S IT if the temperature is lower than 5°C
• Do not apply Mapepoxy UV-S IT on dirty, crumbling or weak substrates
• In hot weather do not expose the product to direct sunlight
• Apply the product during the cooler parts of the day so that it does not harden too quickly and become more difficult to apply
• In cold weather, if the product is to be applied outside and the temperature is lower than 5°C, heat the substrate for at least 24 hours before applying the product and use a suitable insulating system to prevent the risk of freezing
