Remmers Quartz Primer
Remmers Quartz Primer is a bonding layer for cementitious substrates with low absorption behaviour. Remmers Quartz Primer is suitable for all cementitious substrates that have low absorption capacity because of low porosity.
- Increases roughness/non-slip properties
- Good adhesive power
- White pigmented
- Coarse filler
Remmers Quartz Primer is a bonding layer for cementitious substrates with low absorption behaviour. Remmers Quartz Primer is suitable for all cementitious substrates that have low absorption capacity because of low porosity. With Remmers Quartz Primer, a bonding layer is produced between the "render-unfriendly" substrate and the render to be applied.
It is used on smooth, non-absorbent substrates such as:
- In-situ concrete formed with plastic sheet lined formwork
- Solid slab floors made of building elements, e.g. produced by Kaiser, Omnia, Komo
- Precast concrete unit elements produced with steel formwork
- It can be used in interior and exterior areas for new and old buildings, even on historical buildings and monuments
Substrate must be dry, clean, free of dust and cracks (except hairline cracks) and capable of supporting a
load. The surface should also be free of salts known to be damaging to building materials.
Conditions For Use
Temperature of the material, air and substrate: from min. +5°C to max. +25°C.
Waiting time (+20°C)
Ready for next coat after 12 hours at +20°C and 65% relative humidity.
Stir well. Apply evenly to the material using a brush, roller or spray.
Clean tools immediately after use with water.
If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 12 months.

Do I mix your filler in with your paint or do I put it on straight from the tub?
Remmers Quartz Primer is a factory-mixed preparation which is ready-to-use after stirring. It is worked by hand and has high adhesion capacity on smooth, non-absorbent substrates. After stirring, Remmers Quartz Primer is applied undiluted with a brush or lambskin roller. If necessary, it should also be stirred during work. Before continuing work, Remmers Quartz Primer must have hardened until it is scratch resistant. After hardening, render mortar is applied without having to pre-wet.
