Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be laitance free, clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants.
Preceeding Coat
Prime porous ferro concrete surfaces with, CooVar High Performance Primer. Metal surfaces should be suitably primed. (Teamac Etch Primer for aluminium, Teamac Epidox 2 Zinc Phosphate Primer for steel.)
Mixing

The contents of the pack marked Hardener are added to the contents of the larger pack marked Base and thoroughly mixed together, preferably by slow speed electric mixer for 2 minutes or until thoroughly mixed. Failure to mix the material correctly will lead to uncured areas in the coating.
Application Conditions
Apply between 5 to 30°C by brush or short nap mohair roller.
This product can also be spray applied in approved conditions.
When brush or roller applied at ambient temperatures - these products do not emit free Isocyanate at above levels recommended by C.O.S.H.H. Regulations. However, the protective measures shown on the product labels and safety data sheets must be followed.
When used at elevated temperatures or atomised (sprayed) these products do emit small amounts of free Isocyanate and should only be sprayed in an atmosphere controlled working area, with suitable ventilation or flame proof extraction of air. Operatives must wear suitable protective clothing and separate air fed breathing apparatus.
It is recommended that spraying of these products be avoided wherever possible to facilitate uncomplicated application and site conditions.

Hi, would like to use your marine 2 part paint on my hull which has I assume standard marine enamel paint on it. Can this be primed and by what to enable me to use P101.
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
We would not recommend application of this product over a single pack enamel paint, this should be removed prior to application and an appropriate primer maybe required.
Hi, I’m considering using this product to coat nylon fabric on a skin -on-frame kayak. Required to be abrasion resistant, UV resistant and flexible. Any past experience or comments?
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This product would not be suitable for this application unfortunately.

Question:
Can this product be used to seal crazed gelcoat on a dinghy deck ? Will it penetrate and bind to the grp substrate ? Is a primer needed ? The cracks are not hairline but are not wide. They are too extensive to consider re gelcoating. Thank you.
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Assuming the crazing is not deeper than 1mm, we have customers that have success with the following system. If crazing is deeper than 1mm then you would need to re-gelcoat.
Thoroughly clean all surfaces and apply Teamac 2 Pack Zinc Phosphate Primer to the crazes and allow to dry overnight. Sand, then clean down and apply a further coat of Teamac 2 Pack Zinc Phosphate Primer, sand again once dry and then apply 2 coats to all areas of Teamac P101 High Performance Finish in the desired colour.
