Kem-Kromik M255 (formerly known as Sherwin-Williams M255 or Leighs M255) is a single pack quick drying acrylic modified alkyd anti-corrosive protective finish, used as a single coat shop applied protective finish for structural steel that will not normally require further site coats. Suitable for use as a single coat system on internal or external steel, applying by airless spray and using a brush only for small areas or touching up.
Recommended Primers/Topcoats
Not normally required but may be overcoated with a wide range of materials. Please refer to our technical team for additional information.
Surface Preparation
Blast clean to Sa2½ BS EN ISO 8501-1:2007. Average surface profi le in the range 50-75 microns. Ensure surfaces to be coated are clean, dry and free from all surface contamination.

• Should not be used to carry out any painting project, this is for colour selection purposes only and does not remove the need for you to ensure the correct product is chosen and tested for your application once a colour has been decided on.

• Once you have selected a colour, you must purchase the smallest amount of the product you intend to use in your chosen colour and apply to a small, inconspicuous test area to be sure that it meets your expectations.
• Leave the product for 24 hours and then only buy more paint and/or apply more paint if you are completely happy with the results on the test area.
