Rust-Oleum Speed Patch Pourable Grade
Rust-Oleum Speed Patch Pourable Grade is a quick setting, pourable repair mortar that is ideal for patch repairs for heavily trafficked floors.
Rust-Oleum Speed Patch Pourable Grade provides a quick and easy way to fill holes in heavily used concrete floors inside or outside. No primer is required - just mix the powder with water and pour into the hole. This rapid setting concrete repair bonds to damp or dry surfaces and can be applied at thicknesses from feather edge to 100mm.
Features & Benefits
Technical Data
Compressive Strength: 45 MN/m²
Mixing Ratio: Powder : Water = 3 : 1 (Volume)
Drying Times At 20°C/RH 50%
Theoretical Consumption
As a guide, each unit of 25 kg will cover approximately 0.5 m² at 25 mm thick
Practical Consumption
Practical coverage depends on many factors such as porosity and roughness of the substrate and material losses during application.
Surface Preparation
The substrate should be clean and free from oil or contaminants. Any loose material should be removed from the surface. If possible wire brush the surface. Edges of the repair should be cut to depth to avoid feather-edging in heavy wear areas. Speed Patch Pourable can be applied to damp (not wet) concrete.
Directions For Use
Remove the bag of powder from the plastic bucket and use the empty bucket or other suitable container for mixing. Due to the short working life of the mixed product, we recommend you carry out the mixing near to the repair, not near to the water source. It’s also useful to have a bucket of water nearby, so you can quickly immerse and clean the tools after use. Put the water into the empty bucket or container and gradually add the powder stirring constantly to achieve a pourable slurry. For small quantities mix by hand using a flat bladed tool such as a spatula, and for larger quantities use a mixer fitted into a slow speed electric drill. Do not add excessive water or drying time will be extended and the performance may be impaired. As the mixture hardens quickly, pour the Speed Patch Pourable into the hole to be repaired immediately. We do not recommend re-stirring as this could potentially weaken the final repair.
Application Conditions
Apply at a temperature of approximately 5ºC - 20ºC. Do not apply at less than 5ºC.
Application & Thinning: Rake/Trowel
When a smooth consistency is achieved, simply pour Speed Patch in to the hole. If the product has been properly mixed it will self-level and will need minimal trowelling. Speed Patch Pourable can be applied in any depth between 5 mm and 100 mm. Repairs in lightly trafficked areas can be feather edged, but thin edges are not recommended for medium or heavily trafficked repairs.
Remarks
Temperatures below 10°C will delay the curing process. As a guide, allow 24 hours when applied at 5°C. Do not apply at temperatures below 0°C. Speed Patch Pourable can be applied at any depth between 5 - 100 mm and repairs can be feather edged in light traffic areas. When mixed, this product will be pourable so is not suitable for repairs to sloping floors or exposed edges. After curing the product can be painted with any suitable floor paint. If the floor being repaired is very rough, you may wish to screed the whole floor for a smooth flat surface before painting.

Answer: Directions for Use Remove the bag of powder from the plastic bucket and use the empty bucket or other suitable container for mixing. To achieve a pourable mix, add 3 parts of powder to one part of water (by volume). Do not mix more than you can use within a few minutes (5 - 10 minutes at 20°C). The remaining powder can be stored for future use. Application When a smooth consistency is achieved, simply pour Speed Patch in to the hole. | |
