Mathys Pegaprim Exterior

Mathys Pegaprim Exterior is an acrylic primer for exterior applications which can be applied to most mineral substrates.It neutralises differences in the absorption characteristics of the substrate which provides substrates with uniform absorption and colour.

Drying Times At 20°C/RH 50%

  • Touch dry: 1,5 hours
  • Dry to recoat: 2-3 hours
  • Fully cured: 1 week

Practical Consumption

Depends on several factors such as porosity and roughness of the substrate and material losses during application (see DIN 53220).

Surface Preparation

The substrate should be dry, clean and free of grease. Pegaprim Exterior may be directly applied over normally porous substrates and old, cleaned paint layers if they are in good condition. Not suitable for highly porous substrates; use Pegafix as a fixator in such cases.

Directions For Use

The product should be thoroughly stirred before use, to ensure homogeneity.

Application Conditions

> 5°C, < 80% R.H.

Application Methods

  • Brush: Use undiluted.
  • Roller: Use undiluted.
  • Airless Spray: Nozzle: 011 - 015 / Pressure: 180 - 200 bar. Apply undiluted
  • Air-Atomised Spray: Use undiluted.
