The surface of asphalt and Tarmac erodes with general wear and tear and can become dished and damaged. Traditional repairs involve cutting out the damaged asphalt and refilling with a similar material.
Watco Flowpatch Asphalt Repair can just be poured over the top of the surface erosion or used to fill holes and damage up to 100mm deep in just one layer.
Watco Flowpatch Asphalt Repair is easy to mix and use. It will accept heavy traffic, including forklifts, after just two hours, resists oil and grease and will not dust or deteriorate with freeze/thaw conditions.
A pack of Watco Flowpatch Asphalt Repair comprises a powder blend of polymer, cement, fibres and aggregate. It is mixed with water at point of use to produce a pourable slurry. You can mix as much as you need re-sealing the pack for future use.

Surface Preparation
Asphalt or Tarmac should be at least 6 months old. New asphalt is too oily and mobile and could cause the product to crack.
Surfaces should be reasonably level so that the mixture can be poured into the repair.
Use a stiff brush to sweep out any loose material and contamination.
Grease or oil should be scraped out or removed using a degreaser such as Watco Bio-D.
Repairs can be made to damp but not saturated surfaces.
Mixing
Remove the bag of powder from the plastic bucket and use the bucket, or any other suitable container, for mixing.
Due to the short working life of the mixed product, we recommend that you mix it close to the area to be repaired and only mix as much as you can use in 5 -10 minutes. It is also useful to have a bucket of clean water to rinse the tools before the product dries.
The mix is 1 part water to 3 parts powder by volume.
Use a measuring jug or beaker to put one or more measures of water into the mixing bucket. Add 3 measures of powder for every one measure of water.
Add the powder gradually to the water, stirring continuously.
Use a piece of batten or similar for small mixes, or a mixer fitted to an electric drill for larger quantities (Watco Flowtop Mixer is ideal).
The product is ready when an evenly coloured, smooth, pourable consistency is achieved.
Use immediately and complete within 5 -10 minutes.
Application
Pour onto the damaged asphalt.
Can be applied from 5mm to 100mm in depth and “feather edged” around the repair (full strength is achieved at 5mm).
If filling holes deeper than 100mm build up in layers not exceeding 100mm thick, and allow 12 hours drying between each layer.
If resurfacing larger damaged, worn patches of asphalt, aim to achieve a thickness of at least 3-5mm.
The product will flow and settle into the repair, a trowel may be required to help distribute it across the repair area.
Clean tools in water when you have finished.
