Description

Teamac Anti-Corrosive Finish QD is a fast drying anticorrosive finish, giving a good durable, protective coating to metal surfaces. Can be used over a suitable quick drying primer or as a primer and finish in one directly to prepared metals. Teamac Anti-Corrosive Finish QD is a quick drying coating ideal for structural steel and metal fabrications. Available in 4000+ colours from RAL, NCS and British Standard.

    The practical spreading rate may be lower as this depends on factors such as the porosity and roughness of the surface to be painted and material losses during application.



    Drying Times


    Drying Times At 20°C/RH 50%
    Touch Dry: 1 Hour
    Dry To Recoat: 30 minutes or 12 hours
    Fully Cured: 5 - 7 Days

    Low temperature and high humidity will adversely affect application, drying and performance of any coating.



    Surface Preparation


    • Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free fromgrease, oil and any other contaminates.
    • Bare steel should be free from dust, rust and scale.
    • Blast cleaning to SA 2½ is recommended.
    • If blast cleaning is impractical, mechanical cleaning should be employed as hand cleaning does not clean the steel to the required degree.



    Mixing


    Stir well before use.



    Application Conditions


    As dictated by normal good painting practice. Care must be taken during application that the temperature is above the dew point to avoid any contamination. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.

    Hi . Can this be applied direct onto the steel on my narrowboat as a primer and top coat then a coating if your surgrip deck paint in top if that . ? Regards Greg.

    Answer: 

    Teamac Zinc Phosphate Primer is recommended on ferrous metals prior to the application of Teamac Suregrip Deck Paint.

    Answer: 

    This is a combined primer/topcoat, Xylene solvent/oil based system and it is suitable for galvanised metal, provided that the metal is suitably prepared - please refer to the product data sheet for details, available to download from the product page.
